The company is ready to market them abroad as well.

The dm-drogerie markt company offers in its stores in Croatia 28 products made by seven local family farms, and the company says it is ready to accept new ones that meet their quality standards. We are open to products from Croatian family farms which can achieve the sufficient quantity and quality, explained the company, reports Agrobiz.hr on October 19, 2018.

In 2017/2018 financial year, dm-drogerie markt Croatia had a turnover of 2.14 billion kuna, which is 2.3 percent more than the year before, and the net profit is expected to be around 70 million kuna, said Mirko Mrakužić, the company’s general manager.

dm is open to products made by Croatian family farms, and we are ready to market them abroad as well, but the problem often is the insufficient quantity of these products, Mrakužić explained when asked how they selected the farms and their products. The company further explained that they started offering local organic products as early as in 2014, through a joint programme with the Ministry of Agriculture. Today dm has in its assortment in Croatia 28 different products made by seven family farms.

“In the past financial year, dm has invested more than 72.6 million kuna in the modernization of 33 stores and the opening of three specialized departments of non-prescription medical products (OTCs),” Mrakužić said. He announced that the company would invest 80 million kuna in the modernization of 25 stores and the development of its offer in the 2018/2019 financial year.

Mrakužić pointed out that last year was marked by the continued growth of turnover in the OTC product segment, which grew by 37.4 percent compared to the previous year. The development of the company’s own brands also continued, and the brand share in total turnover reached 30.53 percent.

According to the figures, over the past financial year, dm's stores were visited by more than 85,000 customers each day. Currently, dm has 157 stores in 60 towns in Croatia and employs 1,470 employees.

According to dm data, the average monthly net wage in stores is higher than 9,300 kuna. In the past financial year, dm invested more than 2.1 million kuna in the community projects.

The dm group, which is present in 13 countries, had a turnover of 10.7 billion euro in the last financial year.
