A fire broke out around 14:00 in the area of Majdan near Solin.
The fire is spreading north-east from Mravinci, reports Slobodna Dalmacija on August 9, 2017.
Three Canadairs and two helicopters rushed to the site and are fighting the blaze at the moment.
The inhabited area is not in danger. The flames came close to Klis-Kosa at one point, but the canadairs prevented it from spreading further.
The freeway Solin-Klis is currently closed for traffic, causing major traffic jams at the exit point Split.
