After two intense heat waves that hit Croatia in recent weeks, we're about to see a serious turnaround this weekend, reports Slobodna Dalmacija on August 19, 2017.
Strong bura wind is about to hit the coast, and we can expect thunderstorms to occur in some parts of the country. Good news for all who have been wishing for some rain, especially in some parts of Dalmatia where crops have been deteriorating for months due to a serious drought, as the region hasn't seen any continuous rain since May.
The stable hot weather we're experiencing today is about to turn for the worse: starting from this afternoon, the northern part of the coast can expect heavy rain, thunder, and bura wind. It's advised to keep boats at berth tonight and tomorrow, as tempestous wind might affect both the maritime and road traffic.
The temperature is about to drop more than 10 degrees Celsius tomorrow, making for a significant change after the daily average of more than 30 degrees Celsius we've been seeing for days now.
