Croatia Will Receive 145 Million Kuna from EU for Improvement of Railroad Between Križevci and Dugo Selo

By 28 August 2017

A nice sum for the railroad between Križevci and Dugo Selo.

As Poslovni Dnevnik reports on the 28th of August, 2017, the railroad between Križevci and Dugo Selo will be on the receiving end of quite the improvement as it is set to get 145 million euros from European cohesion funds.

The EU is financing high-quality transport links in Croatia and neighbouring states in the context of the Strategic Pan-European Transport Network.

This project, which promotes mobility within the country, will facilitate the transport of goods and help tourism, thus directly contributing to Croatia's economic growth.

The praiseworthy project will see the reconstruction of the railway between the two cities, including the construction of a second track and works at the stations, the modernisation of telecommunications, signalling and security systems, as well as the improvement of the infrastructure along the tracks (bridges, tunnels, roads) for better access to the railway network.
