By 11 September 2017

The A1 motorway between Posedarje and Maslenica, which is often closed due to heavy wind, was today briefly closed due to severe rainfall and flood - for the first time in history!

A1 motorway between Posedarje and Maslenica in the direction of Zagreb was closed for some time to all vehicle groups due to heavy rain and large amounts of rainwater on the roadway, reports Ezadar on September 11, 2017. The road has since been reopened, but all drivers are still warned to drive carefully.

Due to flood in the area of Zadar traffic is suspended on the DC8 Adriatic road at Sukošan, on the ŽC6007 Zadar-Ražanac between Poljica and Mazi, ŽC6040 Sukošan-Sveti Martin-Zemunik and ŽC6004 Nin-Vrsi. Traffic is flowing with delays, in one lane only, on the section of the DC8 Adriatic road between Murvica Gornja and Murvica Donja, at Krušćica (Starigrad), on the ŽC6011 Murvica-Smoković-Zemunik regional road, reports HAK.

Gaženica port in Zadar is reachable only from direction DC424 highway Zadar (Gaženica port)-Zadar 2 junction.

Roads are wet and slippery throughout the country. Due to fog visibility is reduced in Gorski Kotar mountain area. Drivers are asked to adjust the driving speed to road conditions and to keep the safety distance between the vehicles. With the bad weather, headlights have to be on during the day as well.
