Despite the issuance of an international arrest warrant, the ex Agrokor majority owner still isn't neglecting his blog...
Ivica Todorić takes to his blog on the 29th of October, 2017 to talk about what he feels was the unconstitutional passing of the Lex Agrokor law, as well as to accuse a few of his favourite usual suspects, including Martina Dalić, Ante Ramljak and Andrej Plenković.
As usual, we bring you the ex Agrokor boss' blog post translated into English:
''Sources of water, thousands of hectares of farmland guaranteeing domestic food production, industrial complexes with state-of-the-art technology, economic power through companies in the region and, ultimately, store shelves where [the products of] big and small Croatian producers are located. All this, as well as 60,000 jobs, Prime Minister Plenković, Minister Dalić and Ante Ramljak gave to the mercy and lack of mercy of foreign profiteers. Knighthead, Alix partners and their domestic helpers not only manage Agrokor today, they also manage Croatia's national resources. The Croatian national wealth that my administration have built [up] for years, bringing good to the Croatian economy and strengthening Croatia's economic position among the countries in the region. That's why they're hiding their agreement with the Madison Pacific Trust from Hong Kong from the public! When this document comes into the public [eye], all the masks will fall.
This wealth, [which is] of strategic importance to the future of Croatia, has been literally handed over to foreign interests by the government by hijacking private property [assets] with the [passing of the] unconstitutional Lex [Agrokor]. And to people who have already made billions of profits in just a few months and who have sent that money outside of Croatia. If this had happened in the nineties, all these people would have been serving long-term punishments owing to national protests. If the system, as allegedly claimed, was so devastated that it was being threatened by bankruptcy and [posed a] systemic risk to the economy, how did the miracle worker Ramljak manage to stabilise it, as he praises [himself to have done], in just one month? I myself had the opportunity to completely remedy all the problems in Agrokor, but irresponsible statements and an unprecedented media campaign were caused solely by the government and its helpers from Ramljak's abduction team.
I had solutions to the momentum in my company's business on the table, but the government, unbelievably, didn't allow it. Not only did they force me to activate the unconstitutional [Lex Agrokor] law (the day before, on April the 6th [2017], Agrokor was cordoned off by the police without any cause), but in just a few months, they've carried out unprecedented robbery and launched a media [witch]hunt and the most terrible political persecution against me.''
