Tender for 100 New Kindergartens Worth Billion Kuna Now Open

Currently, 621 projects are currently being implemented in Croatia with a total value of 1.4 billion kuna, funded by ''measure seven'' of the praiseworthy Rural Development Program.

As Poslovni Dnevnik writes on the 13th of June, 2018, a new tender for operation 7.4.1 worth over 1 billion kuna was announced on the 12th of June 2018.

500 million kuna of this amount is intended solely for the construction, reconstruction, and renovation of the country's kindergartens. The rest of the available money has been secured for fire brigades, sports grounds, public traffic areas and similar infrastructure that will make rural spaces a more desirable place to live and work.

Measure 7 of the Rural Development Program of the Republic of Croatia implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture is intended for both municipalities and cities, and it finances the launch, improvement and expansion of numerous services with the aim of improving the quality of life of the local population. Applications for the operation 7.4.1 tender will be being received from August the 2nd to September the 14th, 2018.

"In Croatia, 621 projects are currently being implemented with a total value of 1.4 billion kuna, which is funded from measure 7 of the Rural Development Program. We're talking about infrastructure, waterways, access roads, fire houses, improving the lacking facilities in rural areas, places for socialising, relaxation, sports and service activities that will improve the quality of life in Croatian villages.

We've opened the new billion kuna bid, of which half has been reserved for the construction and equipping of 100 kindergartens. Our goal is that as many children from small settlements in Croatia can get access to high quality pre-school education as possible, their parents are encouraged to increase their families, and the conditions for staying in rural areas are improved,'' stated Deputy Prime Minister and Agriculture Minister, Tomislav Tolušić.
