The total value of all of the works will be about five million kuna.
Prepare to arm yourself with patience once again as Zagreb's mayor Milan Bandić gives the green light to works on one of the City of Zagreb's busy roads.
As Poslovni Dnevnik writes on the 17th of August, 2018, the next two weeks have been "reserved" for the reconstruction of the extremely busy Avenija Dubrovnik.
Works on the first phase of the renovation of the northern roadway from the Sarajevska cesta (Sarajevo road) to ulica SR Njemačke (Federal Republic of Germany street) in the length of 1,400 metres first kicked off yesterday.
As previously mentioned, the works were opened yesterday by Mayor Milan Bandić, who asked his fellow citizens of Zagreb for their patience, since along with the works on Avenija Dubrovnik, tram traffic for the Remetinec rotor has also been halted, according to a report from Večernji list.
"We're planning to complete the renovation of the northern roadway and rotor from the crossing of Avenija Dubrovnik and Sarajevska cesta, all the way to Avenija Većeslava Holjevca in three phases," said Ante Todorić of Zagreb Roads.
Among other things planned for the road's renovation, the works will include removal of the old layer of asphalt and the placement of two new layers, the placement of new drainage grids, and the restoration of horizontal and vertical signaling. The total value of all works will come with a price tag of, as mentioned, about five million kuna.
