Croatian Navy vessel Andrija Mohorovičić continues its successful cooperation in the joint European union Operation Triton. Main goal of the action is to help and assist illegal migrants in the Mediterranean.

After a large rescue operation on August 5th when the vessel assisted in saving 476 migrants, vessel Andrija Mohorovičić completed another successful mission last night, this time assisting 307 migrants.

As reported by the Ministry of defense of the Republic of Croatia,  99 children, 88 women and 167 men fleeing difficulties in their own countries were saved by the Croatian Navy ship. Final destination port is yet to be defined by the operation command centre.

"Andrija Mohorovičić" will continue to assist the Italian authorities in maritime border protection in the Mediterranean until the end of October, as one of the teams from 27 countries which deployed expert personnel and technical assets in the Operation Triton.
