HNB Releases 1.32 Billion Kuna Through Regular Open-Market Operation

ZAGREB, April 14, 2020 - The Croatian National Bank (HNB) released HRK 1.32 billion (€174m) to commercial banks on Tuesday, through a regular open-market operation with a one-week maturity and at an interest rate of 0.05%, the same as at the last four auctions. Regular open-market operations are one of the measures taken by the central bank to increase the liquidity of the banking system for the purpose of maintaining exchange rate and financial stability amid the crisis caused by the coronavirus epidemic in the country. House Prices up 9% in 2019

ZAGREB, April 14, 2020 - House prices in Croatia in 2019 were on average nine percent higher than in 2018, data from the National Bureau of Statistics (DZS) shows. Prices of new-builds rose by 8.3% on average, while prices of existing residential properties increased by 9.1%. House prices went up by 13.2% in Zagreb, 6.9% on the Adriatic coast and 3.8% elsewhere in the country. In the fourth quarter of 2019, prices of residential properties rose by 2.9% compared with the previous quarter and jumped by 10% compared with the last quarter of 2018. Budget Revenues in April Decline by Two Thirds

Croatia's Jan-Feb Exports up by 5.1%, Imports by 4%

ZAGREB, April 10, 2020 - Croatia's commodity exports reached HRK 18.1 billion in the first two months of 2020, up by 5.1% compared with the same period in 2019, while imports rose by 4% to HRK 29.7 billion, according to initial data released by the National Bureau of Statistics (DZS) on Friday. HBOR Says Loans Worth More Than 13.5 Billion Kuna Available to Real Sector

HUP Appeals to HRT to Expand Decision on Suspension of Subscription Fee
