Global Entrepreneurship Monitor Shows Dismal Results for Croatia

ZAGREB, May 16, 2019 - According to the latest Global Entrepreneurship Monitor survey on Croatia, which deals with the question of what makes Croatia an (anti-) entrepreneurial country, Croatia is still not an entrepreneurial country primarily because of the quality of the business environment - its regulatory framework is demanding and complex and there is lack of quality cooperation between the business and research sectors and of education for entrepreneurial competencies. Inflation Rate Slows Down to 0.7% in April

ZAGREB, May 15 (Hina) - Consumer prices in April 2019 were 0.7% higher than in the same month of 2018 and 0.6% higher than in the previous month, the national statistical office (DZS) said on Wednesday. This is a slower monthly and annual inflation rate considering that in March consumer prices grew by one percent from February, with the annual inflation rate in March being 0.9%. Agrokor: Net Losses Reduced Substantially in 2018

ZAGREB, May 14, 2019 - The Agrokor Group in 2018 earned consolidated audited revenues in the amount of 38.8 billion kuna, 1.8% down from the year before, while its operating profit grew strongly to 2.39 billion kuna and net losses dropped considerably in comparison to 2017, to 1.4 billion kuna, shows a report the group released on its website on Tuesday. Hyundai and Kia Investing 600 Million Kuna in Rimac Automobili

Hyundai Motor Company and Kia Motors Corporation, part of Hyundai Motor Group, have invested 600 million (80 million euro) in Rimac Automobili. Hyundai Motor has invested 474 million kuna (64 million euros) and Kia Motors 126 million kuna (16 million euro). The first joint project will be cooperation on the development of two high-performance electric vehicles, reports Index.hr on May 14, 2019.
