Central Bank Places 4.55 Billion Kuna Through Structural and Regular Operations

ZAGREB, March 16, 2020 - The Croatian National Bank on Monday decided to place a total of HRK 4.55 billion on the open bank market through a structural and a regular operation, of which HRK 3.8 billion was placed through the structural operation for a five-year term and HRK 750 million through a regular operation for a term of one week. Government: Warehouses Are Full, Do Not Panic

ZAGREB, March 15, 2020 - Economy Minister Darko Horvat said on Sunday in light of the coronavirus epidemic that Croatia had sufficient commodity stockpiles in warehouses to last for a month in the event of a government intervention. Sales in Shops on Saturday up 41% Year-on-Year

ZAGREB, March 15, 2020 - Finance Minister Zdravko Marić said on Sunday that sales in shops on Saturday, compared with the same day in 2019, had increased by 41%. HNB Plans Structural Operation, Purchase of State Bonds to Ease Fallout from Coronavirus

HNB Has Intervened Three Times Against Depreciation Pressure

ZAGREB, March 13, 2020 - The Croatian National Bank (HNB) on Friday intervened on the foreign exchange market for the third time this week, selling €479.55 million to commercial banks. HNB sold €479.55 million at a middle exchange rate of HRK 7.564914, withdrawing an additional HRK 3.63 billion from the financial system.
