Osijek Mayor Lowers Kindergarten Fees for Certain Parents

February the 4th, 2022 - Osijek Mayor Ivan Radic has decided to slash the charges for certain groups of parents for kindergarten costs. Those parents in this Eastern Croatian city who needed to put their children into self-isolation because of coronavirus will get lower fees issued to them. Jelsa Tackles Light Pollution in Effort to Become International Dark Sky Community

February 3, 2022 - Harmful outdoor lighting fixtures were removed from a park in the centre of Jelsa, getting the town on Hvar island a step closer to becoming the first International Dark Sky Community in Croatia The spotlights in question have a colour temperature of 6500 K which is considered detrimental to local wildlife - birds, nocturnal insects, bats, and even plants.
