Poaching, Smuggling Most Frequent Crimes against Nature in Croatia

ZAGREB, 8 August, 2022 - The WWF Adria environmental protection organisation on Monday released a national report in which it identifies wildlife poaching and smuggling as the most prevalent crimes against nature in Croatia, seeking stricter penalties. Documentary Film "Ane Mljećka" Previewed on Mljet Island

August 8, 2022 - The documentary film "Ane Mljećka", produced by HTV's Culture Program Department, was previewed on August 5 - Croatian Victory and Homeland Thanksgiving Day, and the Day of Croatian Defenders. Croatia to Pay €16m in Penalties for Failure to Finish Railway Line on Time

ZAGREB, 8 August, 2022 - Croatia will have to pay at least another HRK 120 million (€16m) from the state budget for the Dugo Selo to Križevci railway line because the project will not be completed within the time frame agreed with the European Commission, Jutarnji List said on Monday. Most Croatian First-Time Mothers Aged over 30

ZAGREB, 7 August, 2022 - Maternity hospitals in Croatia reported 36,346 deliveries in 2021, with 36,991 children born, of whom 36,854 were live births and 137 stillbirths, the Jutarnji List daily said earlier this week, quoting a report by the Croatian Public Health Institute (HZJZ). The report confirms some of the trends in the last decade, including the fact that the age of first-time mothers has been moving upward, that more and more babies are delivered by C-section and that the number of births among girls under 14 has been dropping.
