PM: Measures To Mitigate Impact Of Energy Prices Enter Into Force On 1 April

ZAGREB, 31 March 2022 - Prime Minister Andrej Plenković opened a cabinet meeting on Thursday by commenting on the government's HRK 4.8 billion (€640m) package of measures aimed at mitigating the impact of increased energy prices on households and businesses, which enters into force on Friday. The increase in electricity prices was capped at 9.6% and the increase in gas prices for households at a maximum of 20%. Croatia's February Industrial Production Up 4%

ZAGREB, 31 March 2022 - Croatia's industrial production continued to rise in February for the 15th month in a row, and faster than the previous month, indicating further recovery of the economy. In February 2022, industrial production increased by 2.6% compared with the previous month and by 4.0% compared with February 2021, the National Bureau of Statistics (DZS) reported on Thursday. This was faster growth than in January when production had risen by 3.5% year on year. ZAGREB, 31 March 2022 - Over 720,000 pensioners in Croatia with a monthly pension allowance of up to HRK 4,000 will receive a one-off energy allowance as part of government measures to alleviate the impact of increased energy prices, and it will be paid out no later than May, the Labour and Pension System Ministry has announced.
