ZSE Main Indices Up By Over 0.5%

ZAGREB, 16 Dec 2021 - The main Zagreb Stock Exchange indices increased on Thursday, the Crobex by 0.68% to 2,034 points and the Crobex10 by 0.73% to 1,246 points. Regular turnover was HRK 7.4 million, almost half of yesterday's. The most traded stock was Podravka, turning over HRK 1.66 million. It closed at HRK 636 per share, up 0.95%. City Becomes Majority Owner of Dubrovnik Port Company

ZAGREB, 16 Dec 2021 - The City of Dubrovnik has become the majority owner of the Dubrovnik Port company with a 51.32% stake, mayor Mato Franković said on Thursday, calling this important for the company's future and the management of the city's port area. The city previously acquired a 48.75% stake in the company and has become the majority owner after the city-owned company UTD Ragusa acquired another 2.75%. Over HRK 60,000 Raised for AYS Volunteer to Help Him Pay Fine

ZAGREB, 16 Dec 2021 - Over HRK 60,000 (€8,000) has been raised in less than 24 hours to help activist Dragan Umičević pay the fine for helping the Hussiny family from Afghanistan to illegally cross the border into Croatia, the non-governmental organization Are You Syrious? (AYS) said on Thursday. Umičević, a volunteer with Are You Syrious, helped the Afghan family to illegally enter Croatia and apply for asylum in March 2018. Ten Water Management Investment Projects Signed

ZAGREB, 16 Dec 2021 - Ten contracts worth HRK 116.4 million were signed on Thursday to finance water management projects as part of the 2021-26 National Recovery and Resilience Plan. The contracts were signed at the Hrvatske Vode water management company by Economy Minister Tomislav Ćorić and Hrvatske Vode general manager Zoran Đuroković. They said these ten contracts were the first step in utilizing National Recovery and Resilience Plan funds. Končar Group's Sales Revenues to Hit All Time High of €470m in 2021

ZAGREB, 16 Dec (Hina) - The Končar Group, specializing in the production of electrical equipment and installations, is set to reach a record high revenue from sales in 2021, of HRK 3.5 billion (€466 million), and it plans to raise those revenues to HRK 3.78 billion (€504m) in 2022, according to the group's business plan. Croatia's Coronavirus Update: 3,765 New Cases, 46 Deaths

ZAGREB, 16 Dec 2021 - In the last 24 hours, of 11,713 tests conducted for coronavirus in Croatia, 3,765 (32%) have turned out to be positive, and 46 more COVID patients have died, raising the death toll to 11,825, the country's COVID-19 crisis management team reported on Thursday. Flammable Object Thrown at HDZ Party Offices in Bjelovar

ZAGREB, 16 Dec 2021 - A flammable object was thrown at the offices of the HDZ party county branch in Bjelovar on Wednesday, and police are investigating the incident.
