Lanterns Floated Down the Danube in Memory of Fallen and Missing Defenders, Civilians

ZAGREB, 18 Nov 2021 - Several hundred lit red and white lanterns were floated down the river Danube on Thursday evening in memory of Croatian defenders and civilians killed or gone missing in the defense of Vukovar from the Great Serbia aggression in 1991. Several Thousand People Participate in Commemorative March in Škabrnja

ZAGREB, 18 Nov 2021 - Several thousand people from all over Croatia and neighboring Bosnia and Herzegovina on Thursday participated in a commemorative march in Škabrnja marking the 30th anniversary of the massacre that occurred in the town in Zadar's hinterland. Slovenian Minister Says Croatia Should Join Schengen, Supports Border Fences

ECHR: Croatia Ordered to Pay Family of Killed Afghan Girl €40,000 in Compensation

ZAGREB, 18 Nov 2021 - The European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) on Thursday held that the investigation into the death of a six-year-old Afghan child who was hit by a train, had been ineffective and ruled that Croatia pay her family compensation of €40,000 and €16,700 in court costs. Macron to Pay Official Visit to Croatia on 24-25 Nov

ZAGREB, 18 Nov 2021 - French President Emmanuel Macron will visit Croatia on 24 and 25 November, the Elysée Palace announced in a press release on Thursday.  Macron will be the first French head of state to pay an official visit to Zagreb since Croatia gained independence in 1991.
