Labor Demand About 20% Higher Than in August 2019

ZAGREB, 6 Sept 2021 - Labor demand in Croatia has exceeded its pre-pandemic levels for the fourth month in a row, the Online Vacancy Index (OVI) of the Zagreb Institute of Economics (EIZ) for August 2021 shows. "OVI’s latest values are in line with other positive economic indicators published in the last few weeks. Labor demand has exceeded its 2020 and 2019 levels – OVI for August 2021 shows that labor demand is 60 percent higher than in August 2020, and around 20 percent higher compared to the pre-pandemic August of 2019," EIZ said. HRK 3.5m Set Aside for Croatian Diaspora Projects For This Year

ZAGREB, 6 Sept 2021 - Croatia has set aside HRK 3.5 million (€467,000) for this year to support projects by Croatian diaspora organizations in 29 overseas and European countries.  Grants will be awarded based on a tender issued by the Central State Office for Croats Abroad. Applications are accepted by 1 October. Diaspora organizations are invited to submit projects of importance to their development, culture, education, science, sports, and tourism, as well as those that contribute to the preservation of the national identity and promote relations between the diaspora and Croatia. New Croatian Energy Label: More Transparence for Light Source Efficiency

September 6, 2021 - A new Croatian energy label with more arranged levels of energetic efficiency and a QR code that connects buyers directly to the European Commission database offers more transparency to Croatian buyers. 80,000 Couples in Croatia Infertile - Večernji List

Croatia Wins 7 Medals at Central European Olympiad in Informatics

ZAGREB, 6 Sept 2021 - The Croatian team won seven medals at the online Central European Olympiad in Informatics 2021 that was hosted by Zagreb on 1-5 September. The Croatian team won two golds, one silver, and four bronzes, placing Croatia second in the overall ranking after Poland.
