FM Gordan Grlić Radman: Croatia Will Fight Illegal Migration

ZAGREB, 25 Aug, 2021 - Croatian Foreign Minister Gordan Grlić Radman said in Budapest on Wednesday that Croatia would fight illegal migrations and that a difference needed to be made between Afghan nationals who had been helping EU services and Afghan refugees who were the responsibility of the international community. Croatia to Hold Additional Minority Elections on 3 Oct

ZAGREB, 25 Aug, 2021 - The deadlines for the 3 October additional elections for representatives of ethnic minorities in councils in 16 cities and 55 municipalities and in 11 county assemblies started running on Wednesday, the State Election Commission (DIP) said today. Slates with candidates running in those polls should be submitted to DIP until the midnight on 7 September, and can be proposed by political parties and by groups of citizens who want to be represented by independent candidates. Ticket Prices Announced for Croatia and Slovenia World Cup Qualifier at Poljud

August 25, 2021 - Ticket prices for the 2022 World Cup qualifying match between Croatia and Slovenia have been announced by HNS. However, the National Civil Protection Headquarters still needs to determine if spectators will be allowed, with a decision set for September 1. Croatia and Slovenia are due to meet on September 7 at Poljud Stadium in Split.  The 2nd session of the Croatian Football Federation Executive Board was held in Zabok in the Gjalski Castle, hosted by the Krapina-Zagorje County Football Federation, announced HNS on Wednesday. Patriarch Porfirije Provides 10 Undergraduates From Croatia With Scholarships

ZAGREB, 25 Aug, 2021 - Patriarch Porfirije of the Serbian Orthodox Church (SPC) is personally financing scholarships in the new academic year for students from Croatia via the "Vladimir Matijević" fund which is managed by the Serb Privrednik association, reads a press release issued by the association on Wednesday. Croatia Logs 677 New Coronavirus Cases, Four Deaths

ZAGREB, 25 Aug, 2021 - In the past 24 hours, 677 coronavirus cases and four COVID-related deaths have been registered in Croatia, the national COVID-19 crisis management team said on Wednesday. The number of active cases is 2,951 and there are 356 hospitalised patients, including 46 on ventilators, while 6,858 persons are self-isolating. To date, 2,490,899 tests for the virus have been conducted, including 10,453 in the last 24 hours when the share of positive tests was 6.5%. To date, 3,227,814 vaccine doses have been administered, with 41.99% of the population having been vaccinated, including 50.45% of adults. EuroVolley 2021 in Zadar: Croatia Secures At Least 2nd in Group C!

August 25, 2021 - After defeating Hungary on Tuesday, Croatia has secured at least 2nd place in Group C at the EuroVolley 2021 in Zadar!  In the 4th round of the European Championship's Group C in Zadar, the Croatia women's volleyball team achieved its fourth victory, winning 3-1 in sets (25-19, 21-25, 25-17, 25-21) against Hungary.
