ZAGREB, 18 June 2021 - The only way for Croatia to reach the climate protection targets sooner is to decarbonise heating, President Zoran Milanović's Energy Transition Council concluded at a meeting in Vukovar on Friday. ZAGREB, 18 June 2021 - The Conflict of Interest Commission did not instigate proceedings against Prime Minister Andrej Plenković on Friday because it did not establish that he had exerted influence on the appointment of an advisor at the Croatian Embassy in Moscow. ZAGREB, 18 June 2021 - Science and Education Minister Radovan Fuchs said on Friday that Croatia was among the top European countries, if not at the very top, for the number of hours of face to face lessons during the school year  that just ended and expressed his satisfaction that such a demanding year ended successfully. ZAGREB, 18 June 2021 - As of 1 July tax reliefs are to be abolished in all EU member states for imported parcels with a value of more than HRK 160 (€22) while all parcels delivered from third countries will be taxable, and deliveries are expected to be slowed down, a press conference heard on Friday. ZAGREB, 18 June 2021- Croatia's average net pay in April was HRK 7,082, which is an increase of 6.9% on the year in nominal terms and of 4.7% in real terms, according to data released by the national statistical office (DZS) on Friday. ZAGREB, 18 June 2021 - The Croatian Parliament's Agriculture Committee on Friday endorsed the initiative by its chair, Marijana Petir, and adopted a declaration on the Alps-Adriatic-Danube region free of GMO. The declaration will be forwarded to Parliament for adoption, and activities will be undertaken through national decisions and cooperation with the countries in the region to ensure that the region remains GMO-free, the Committee said. ZAGREB, 18 June 2021 - New epidemiologicial measures will enter into force in Croatia on 1 July, under which events involving people with digital EU certificates will not be subject to restrictions on the number of people gathered, the head of the national coronavirus crisis management team, Interior Minister Davor Božinović, announced at a press conference on Friday.
