EU-Western Balkans Summit Ends Inconclusively

ZAGREB, 23 June  2022- An EU-Western Balkans summit, which lasted more than three hours, ended in Brussels on Thursday without a joint statement and without a press conference. The European Council President Charles Michel's cabinet said that a scheduled press conference was postponed due to the lack of time as the meeting lasted longer than planned and a joint declaration had not been planned at all. Croatia Logs 175 New COVID Cases, Four Deaths

ZAGREB, 23 June 2022 - Croatia has registered 175 new COVID-19 cases and four related deaths in the last 24 hours, the national COVID-19 crisis management team reported on Thursday. Currently, there are 2,770 active cases, and 210 patients in hospital treatment, including five patients on ventilators. Since 25 February 2020, when the first infection with the novel SARS-CoV-2 virus was confirmed in the country, COVID-19 has claimed 16,043 lives in Croatia. Education Minister Says Extremely Difficult School Year Successfully Completed

ZAGREB, 21 June 2022 - Science and Education Minister Radovan Fuchs on Tuesday congratulated pupils, teachers, head teachers, Ministry and local government officials on the successful completion of the school year, the first two-thirds of which, he said, were extremely difficult due to the pandemic and earthquake.
