KK Split Shows Sign of Life in ABA League

January 29, 2022 - KK Split won 89:77 over Igokea to mark the end of a 0:8 losing streak.  The 350 fans who came to Gripe last night had good reason to celebrate. After a devastating 8 losses and last position in the league, the first-ever ABA league victory against the guests from Republika Srpska could not have come at a better time.  Both teams had good reasons why they needed a success. Croatia and France at Poljud: June 2022 UEFA Nations League Host Cities Announced

Petra Marčinko Wins Australian Open Juniors Title!

January 29, 2022 - Petra Marčinko has done it all in Melbourne! The 16-year-old Croatian tennis player became the Australian Open Juniors champion!  The world No. 1 junior defeated Belgium's Sofia Costoulas 7:5, 6:1 in the final in Melbourne. This is her 12th consecutive victory, combining the titles at the Orange Bowl and the Australian Open. Petra Marčinko Books Australian Open Juniors Final!

January 28, 2022 - The current best junior tennis player in the world, 16-year-old Petra Marčinko from Zagreb, booked a spot in the Australian Open Juniors final after beating American Liv Hovde 6-4, 4-6, 6-4 in the semifinal. On Saturday, Marčinko will fight for the title against 8th seed, 16-year-old Belgian Sofia Costoulas, who beat Australian Charlotte Kempenaers-Pocz 6-4, 6-1. Ivan Dodig and Kristina Mladenovic Win 2022 Australian Open Mixed Doubles Title

January 28, 2022 - Croatian tennis player Ivan Dodig and French partner Kristina Mladenovic won the 2022 Australian Open mixed doubles title on Friday, defeating the Australian side of Jaimee Fourlis - Jason Kubler 6-3, 6-4 after 77 minutes of play! Croatia Ends EHF Euro 2022 with a Draw against the Netherlands - 28:28

January 26, 2022 - Croatia ended their EHF Euro 2022 campaign with a draw against the Netherlands on Wednesday night.  The last European Championship match for Croatia was against the Netherlands in the last round of Group I on Wednesday. Both teams lost their chance at the semifinal, so the match was not of importance - though it's always nice to say goodbye to the Euros with a win. January 25, 2022 - Croatia fell to Russia in the second Group C match of the UEFA Futsal Euro 2022 held in the Netherlands. 11 Athletes to Represent Croatia at Winter Olympic Games in Beijing

ZAGREB, 24 Jan 2022 - During the 4-20 February Winter Olympics in Beijing, 11 athletes will represent Croatia, ten of whom are member of the Croatian Ski Federation, Croatia's Olympic committee said on Monday. Croatia's skiers include Zrinka Ljutić, Leona Popović and Andrea Komšić in the women's events and Filip Zubčić, Matej Vidović and Samuel Kolega in the men's Alpine skiing events and all of them, except Vidović, will compete in both the Slalom and Giant Slalom, while Vidović will only take part in the Slalom event.
