Croatia Part of UNESCO Mura-Drava-Danube Biosphere Reserve Crossing 5 Countries

September 16, 2021 - The UNESCO-declared Mura-Drava-Danube biosphere reserve is the first in the world to cross over five countries - Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, Hungary, and Serbia. On Wednesday, UNESCO declared the Mura, Drava, and Danube area the world's first five-state biosphere reserve. The largest protected river area in Europe is an excellent example of cooperation between the five countries. The biosphere reserve stretches across Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, Hungary, and Serbia to almost a million hectares and 700 kilometers of river flow, reports HRTurizam. Innovative Altpro Braking Equipment on Croatian-made Trains

September the 16th, 2021 - The Croatian company Altpro is engaged in the development and production of signalling and other safety equipment for trains and their accompanying infrastructure. Thanks to the recent signing of contracts between them and Koncar, their equipment is set to be placed on Croatian-made trains. INA Considering HRK 2 bn Bond Issue

ZAGREB, 15 Sept, 2021 - The INA oil company said on Wednesday it was considering issuing bonds on the domestic capital market in the nominal amount of HRK 2 billion maximum, with one-off principal maturity after five years maximum. The Board today decided to issue the bonds and list them on the Zagreb Stock Exchange. The issuing and the listing will be done provided that all regulatory permits are obtained in line with regulations and subject to acceptable market conditions. Port For Smaller Boats Inaugurated in Rovinj

ZAGREB, 15 Sept, 2021 - The San Pelagio port, a new, HRK 53.4 million (€7.12 million) investment in the northern Adriatic city of Rovinj, which is expected to relieve the burden on the Andana port in the city centre, was opened on Wednesday. The new port is intended exclusively for personal vessels up to eight metres in length, the Rovinj Port Authority said.
