Joe Biden Meets Croatian PM Milanovic Ahead of Summit

An important photo op for Zoran Milanovic, as Joe Biden jets into Zagreb. 

Security was tight in Zagreb on November 25, 2015, as American Vice President Joe Biden landed in Croatia ahead of a regional summit. Before heading to the summit, he met with Croatian Prime Minister Zoran Milanovic, as the official Croatian Government website explained:

"The main topic of discussion was the current situation in the Middle East , especially the war in Syria . Prime Minister Milanovic and Vice President Biden discussed the refugee crisis faced by Europe and the security situation in the world after the recent terrorist attacks.

"The meeting was attented by First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Minister Vesna Pusic and Croatian Ambassador to the US Josip Paro , and with Vice President Biden at the meeting were National Security Adviser Colin Kahl , and US Ambassador to Croatia Julieta Valls Noyes .

"Biden officially visited Zagreb as a special guest of the extraordinary Summit of the Brdo-Brijuni Presidential Process 2015."
