Todorić: ''Information on the Covert Financing of Agrokor is Nonsense''

By 19 December 2017

The blog strikes again...

Ivica Todorić takes to his blog on the 18th of December, 2017, this time tackling the subject of covert funding.

As usual, we bring you the former Agrokor boss' latest blog post translated into English in full below:

''Information published today in some media about Fairtrade's involvement in the covert funding of Agrokor is a complete fabrication that has nothing to do with the truth and serves solely to create false public images of the entire case and of me personally. It's true that the AWT Group was the owner of 2% of Agrokor's shares, which Agrokor itself redeemed and paid in the full amount of 50 million euros. That I've bought the preferential shares from EBRD is an even bigger construction (falsehood).

It's a notorious [known] fact that EBRD had only regular shares that were bought via Agrokor's loan by me personally, and it would naturally have been returned to me had the unconstitutional Lex [Agrokor] not prevented me from managing my own private assets.

Such constructions, which aren't interepreted [based] on even one fact, come from the same source - the factory of lies of [Ante] Ramljak and Martina Dalić, to criminalise (demonise) me and create a false impression of the crime [that took place] in Agrokor under my authority, which never happened.''
