Christmas is over and the blog is back in full force.
As we reported yesterday, Zagreb's County Court responded positively to Ante Ramljak's request to have the accounts and assets under the ownership of not only Ivica Todorić, but those belonging to his former Agrokor associates too, blocked.
The move was hailed as a victory for Agrokor's government appointed extraordinary management team as the worth of the collective assets of Todorić and his former associates from Agrokor's ex management body would adequately cover the debts incurred should they be found guilty of the wrongdoing they've been accused of.
It seems, however, that not everyone is hailing the legal decision as an Agrokor victory. Ivica Todorić views things quite differently and claims that this is, in fact, in his favour.
As usual, we bring you the former Agrokor boss' blog post, written on the 26th of December, 2017, translated into English in full below:
''I consider the decision of the County Court at Ante Ramljak's request to be my great victory! All those who told lies about me for months about the alleged embezzlement of billions of kuna can now easily establish my assets/property, and the ways in which it was acquired, as well as all of the transactions [of mine] that they want to criminalise.
Zagreb County Court's decision to accept Ante Ramljak's damage claim in the amount of 1.6 billion kuna, which, because of the alleged damages to Agrokor, he's [trying] to claim from me and my associates, is just another proof that I've spoken the truth all this time and provided the correct information. I've never misappropriated a single euro from Agrokor, all the money has been spent exclusively on Agrokor's development and business. The County Court's decision to block my assets best demonstrates that - after decades of running and creating the largest private company, my assets are public - a quarter of a house in which four families otherwise live, several pieces of agricultural land and empty bank accounts.
During this time, Ramljak and company are taking hundreds of millions from the hijacked Agrokor to pay investigators and financial forensicists, more specifically, to pay their trusted partners. Let someone find out exactly where this huge [amount of] money is! Of course, they'll find that each cent has been spent on Agrokor's growth. Not one single euro has ended up in my private accounts. The claim and decision of the Zagreb County Court is, in fact, my great victory because it's [now] easy to determine the flow of money and prove that this is just another public presentation under the direction of Ante Ramljak and Martina Dalić.''
