ZAGREB, March 29, 2018 - Israel is pleased with the Croatian government's decision to buy Israeli F-16 fighter jets, the Israeli Embassy said on Thursday, expressing confidence that the strategic cooperation would strengthen ties between the two countries in various economic sectors.
At its meeting on Thursday, the Croatian government unanimously decided to purchase 12 F-16 C/D Barak aircraft from Israel for 2.9 billion kuna.
Israel was one of the four bidders and is pleased that the Croatian government decided to choose its bid, the embassy said in response to a query from Hina for comment.
The Israeli Air Force is one of the best in the world and will be ready to share its professional experience with the Croatian Air Force, it added.
We believe that this strategic cooperation will lead to stronger ties in different areas of the economy, science, modern technologies and education, the embassy said.
