ZAGREB, May 14, 2018 - The president of the Independent Democratic Serb Party (SDSS) Milorad Pupovac said on Monday, following the resignation of Deputy Prime Minister and Economy Minister Martina Dalić over the Agrokor email scandal, that the entire process concerning the debt-laden Agrokor food and retail conglomerate "was safely decontaminated as far as the political aspect is concerned."
"As far as other aspects are concerned, other institutions are in charge of that," Pupovac said.
"Tomorrow we will resume talks within the ruling coalition and we will most definitely see what needs to be done to complete the full consolidation of the process, a segment of which was contaminated," the SDSS chief said.
Pupovac underscored that his party respected the prime minister's decision regarding Dalić's resignation, saying it was the result of an assessment of what is good for the government, the ruling coalition and the continuation of the consolidation process in Agrokor.
The deputy Parliament Speaker from the ranks of the Italian minority Furio Radin said it was good that the prime minister had asked Dalić to resign over the scandal, saying that Plenković could continue to count on his support.
