Ivanka Trump's Croatian Vacation in 2016 Part of Mueller Report

By 4 November 2019

Buzzfeed, the American internet site with a strong investigative journalism team, published what they call the "Mueller Report’s Secret Memos'' today, and Ivanka Trump in Croatia plays a prominent role in the article.

As the authors explain, they had to sue the American Government to gain access to the documents created by the team lead by Robert Mueller III, which didn't make it into the final text of the Mueller Report (officially titled "Report on the Investigation into Russian Interference in the 2016 Presidential Election"). And in those documents, as well as in the article published by Buzzfeed about them, a brief Croatian vacation by the Kushner family, Ivanka Trump and her husband Jared Kushner got a prominent spot.

Croatian and international media reported on Ivanka and Jared's Croatian vacation, the time they spent in Dubrovnik, and their friends. It was news back then, but honestly, not that big of a story, as most people weren't predicting back then that in a couple of months, the two of them would become one of the most powerful couples in the world. And that's exactly what they became when Donald Trump became the American President, with the two of them both being given significant positions within his administration.

During Robert Mueller's investigation into the Russian interference in the election, the FBI spoke to Steve Bannon, former White House Chief Strategist in the early days of the Trump administration, who told them about the vacation, tying Jared and Ivanka to a "Russian billionaire."

As Buzzfeed puts it, the trip proved "a long-suspected and long-denied connection between Trump's world and a Russian oligarch." Bannon is reported to have told investigators that Kushner had been in Croatia with the unnamed Russian billionaire, Rupert Murdoch’s ex-wife Wendi Deng, and the Russian’s girlfriend, whom Bannon said his sources in the intelligence community found to be “questionable.” The media reports and the social media posts from the time confirm that Wendi Deng was there, but no Russian oligarchs or their girlfriends are ever mentioned.

However, if you take a moment and scroll down through the comments a bit, you'll find a name mentioned in there, as someone references Dmitry Rybolovlev. A very, very rich Russian oligarch, the owner of AS Monaco football club who has been tied with President Trump before. This document, created by Robert Mueller and published by Buzzfeed, confirms the suspicions that were already present, more than two years ago, and which some have called a part of a conspiracy theory.

The speculation on what exactly was said during the time those powerful and wealthy people spent in Croatia will undoubtedly intensify...
