Easy Win for Jug Water Polo Team Against Partizan in Belgrade

Jug CO water polo players from Dubrovnik overpowered in Belgrade the home team Partizan with 16-9 (6-1, 4-2, 2-4, 4-2) in the 4th round of group B in the water polo Champions League

The current European champions showed their strength already in the first quarter in which they outgunned the home team with 6-1. Loren Fatović made three and Felipe Perrone two of six goals in the first part of the game. The Croatian champion increased its advantage by halftime to seven goals, Jutarnji List reported on January 19, 2017.

Partizan reduced their lead to five goals in the third quarter, taking advantage of a small fall of focus in coach Vjeko Kobeščak’s team. But the Jug team increased it again in the final quarter.

Fatović and Perrone ended the duel with four goals each. Lončar, Vrlić and Obradović made two each, Joković and Ivanković at one each. The best scorer for Partizan was Nikola Jakšić with five goals.

Jug CO’s win took them to second place with seven points, two below the leading Pro Recco who have a game less and maximum score in the first three rounds. Partizan is at the bottom with only one point from four matches.
