Croatian Gymnast Filip Ude in another World Cup Final

By 22 March 2017

Second week in a row of World Cup finals for Filip Ude, after a bronze on Sunday in Baku, on Wednesday he placed third in Doha qualifications and made it to the finals on pommel horse

In somewhat strange qualifications in which 34 out of 40 athletes fell off the horse, Filip completed his routine and was third with 13.800 points, Jutarnji List reported on March 22, 2017.

Our second representative in this discipline, Robert Seligman, fell and ended up 10th with 12.700 points and is the second reserve for the finals on Friday in which Ude will compete for a new medal.

“Conditions were quite strange. Organisers made several omissions. Athletes were called in from the warm-up area too soon, held for 20 minutes in a hallway with the air-conditioning on full, so no wonder many had issues with their performance. As for Seligman, he did not find his way in such conditions, but is also generally not in competitive form, timing it for April and the European Championship in Cluj,” explained Croatian selector Vladimir Mađarević.
