The two Croatian players played for the finals of the Rosmalen Open, and it was Karlović who took the deciding tie-break
Ivo Karlović and Marin Čilić met on the grass court in Rosmalen, Netherlands on June 17, 2017. Two big servers and a grass court were a perfect set out for an exciting match.
The Croatians met the expectations. The match was decided in the third set tie-break, and it was the more experienced one who took the win.
Two of them combined served out 45 aces, and there is more data which shows how tight this match was. In the total count, Čilić won one point ahead of Karlović, but he lost it at the end.
The final result after 2 hours and 45 minutes of play was 7-6, 5-7, 7-6 for Karlović, who will meet the home player Gilles Muller in today’s match, which will decide on the new Rosmalen Champion.
