The season hasn't even started yet, but Hajduk fans have done a lot already
All Hajduk fans, as well as the tourists that visit Split during the summer period, know that Hajduk is a lot more than just a football club around here. On June 20. 2017, the season tickets for Hajduk’s home games was launched, and the queues were formed even before the boots were opened for business.
In the last year, Hajduk had more than 7 thousand season ticket holders, more than all other Croatian clubs combined. This year, it seems that record will be broken. The main reason for the rush is round two of the Europa League qualification match, which will be played in Dugopolje, as the ULTRA Festival will be staged at Poljud Stadium at the same time.
As the Dugopolje Stadium accommodates 5200 spectators, only those that buy their season ticket in time will get the ticket for the opening match of the home season for Hajduk.
The first day of the sale went with long queues at Poljud Stadium, so on the day two, the Club has given numbers to the buyers, and set up the counter on the website, so that people would not have to wait there in high temperatures.
The euphoria does not stop there, as the “Our Hajduk” association launched yet another crowdfunding campaign, “Za sva vrimena” (For all time), to continue the financing the taking over the shares of the club.
After the campaign was presented to the members at the emotional event at Split University, the campaign was officially launched on the Riva this weekend, and it got documented by yet another millennium photo by Šime Strikoman, the photographer famous for his mass photos.
We wrote about the spectacle in Split, when the fans were taking over the shares of Hajduk previously, and it seems that the project is doing well, as the number of the fans involved is increasing by the day, and the future of the club seems much brighter with the politicians being put aside from the decision-making.
Here is the video that shows the emotion of the fans who decided to join the funding campaign;
