Croatia collected their second win at Eurobasket after defeating Romania.
The Croatian men's basketball team defeated Romania in the second match of Group C at the Eurobasket tournament in Cluj. Croatia defeated the co-host 74:58 (20:12, 22:17, 15:13, 17:16), reports Index.hr on Sept 2, 2017.
The match was off to a rough start for Croatia as the host led 10:0 in the first four minutes. The Croatian team was missing easy shots, lost the ball one too many times, and coach Petrović was forced to call a timeout. Fortunately, It wasn't long before Croatia got their groove back and started to take control.

Ukić, Bogdanović, Simon, Šarić and Planinić managed to "reset" the match quickly to capitalize on time lost, and points scored, and after Popović, Žoric and Bender came off the bench, Croatia was able to control of the result.

By the end of the game, Croatia had the advantage without any real threats in their way, and they ended the match with an impressive 12 out of 20 three-pointers scored (60 percent) but only 9 out of 24 two-pointers achieved (38 percent).
Bojan Bogdanović led Croatia with 21 points, Dario Šarić scored 10 points, and Vlad Moldoveanu was the best for Romania with 14 points.
This is Croatia’s second win of the tournament after defeating Hungary yesterday. After the win against Romania, Croatia has virtually secured one of the first four places in their group, leading them to the round of 16.
In the 3rd round, Croatia will play against Montenegro on Monday at 16:45.
