Dario Šarić 'Player of Game' in Sixers Win Against Denver Nuggets!

By 31 December 2017

Our Croatian wonder kid does it again!

Dario Šarić was the best shooter on the Philadelphia 76ers who secured their biggest comeback of the season! And all this without the Sixers star Joel Embiid, reports Index.hr and 24Sata on December 31, 2017.

Dario Šarić, the 23-year-old wonder kid from Šibenik, keeps getting better this NBA season, and his latest match against the Denver Nuggets is further proof of this basketball star’s talent.

Dario Šarić was the best shooter of the Philadelphia 76ers who overcame the Denver Nuggets 107-102 in Denver on Saturday, December 30, 2017.

In his 35-minutes on the court, Šarić scored 20 baskets (shots for two-pointers 3-8, three-pointers 3-7). Additionally, he collected nine jumps, six assists, and one block. Dario’s shooting average in the game was 6/15 (40%), while he was 3/7 (43%) for three-pointers and hit all five free throws. This is Dario’s sixth game of the season where he scored at least 20 points with such an effect.

Šaric's Sixers led the biggest comeback of the season, claiming the victory after they were down 14 points. This is also a psychologically significant triumph for the team because they have amazingly missed winning games where they have a 20-point lead in recent months.

Dario's performance prompted Philadelphia's Twitter account to shower the Croat with praise.

In other Croatian NBA news, Mario Hezonja played 12 minutes for the Orlando Magic where he scored six points (shots for two-pointers, 3-3, three-pointers 0-2) with three rebounds and two assists. With a 12-25 ratio, Orlando is the forerunner of the East, behind only Atlanta with 10-26.
