Croatian basketball players had a significant impact on the NBA last night, scoring a collective 58 points!
Bojan Bogdanović played brilliantly for the Indiana Pacers, scoring 29 points to lead India in the victory over the Milwaukee Bucks 92:89, reports Index.hr on March 6, 2018.
Mario Hezonja’s Orlando Magic suffered a defeat to the Utah Jazz, who celebrated a 94:80 win over Orlando. Hezonja played 20 minutes and scored 10 baskets (shots from play 3/9, three-pointers 2/6) and recorded three rebounds and two steals. Magic's best shooter was Nikola Vučević who scored 15 points, while Utah was led by Rudy Gobert who scored 21.
The young Croatian star Ante Žižić played 16 minutes for Cleveland to win over the Detroit Pistons 112:90. Žižić scored six points scoring 100% of the shots taken (3/3 of shots), recorded six rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block.
LeBron James led the Cavs with 31 points, seven rebounds and the same amount of assists, and Larry Nance Jr. scored 22 baskets with 15 rebounds. For the Pistons, who suffered their ninth defeat at home, Blake Griffin scored 25 points.
Dragan Bender’s team the Phoenix Suns were also defeated, losing 125:103 to the Miami Heat. Bender scored six points in 30 minutes on the court (shots in play 2/4, three-pointers 2/3), recording the same amount of assists and two rebounds. Best shooter for Phoenix was Devin Booker who scored 31 points, while the winning team was led by Hassan Whiteside who scored 24 points.
The Los Angeles Lakers were defeated by the Portland Trail Blazers 108:103. Ivica Zubac, on the court for the Lakers for just 16 minutes, scored seven baskets (shots in play 2/3) and four rebounds.
