The World Cup in Russia begins on June 14 and ends on July 15, 2018.
The International Football Federation (FIFA) has promised to continue their tradition of paying wages to the clubs represented in the tournament before and during the world championships, reports Index.hr on June 10, 2018.
Football clubs have been promised 7,304.00 euro a day for each individual club player participating in the World Cup. Theoretically speaking, if Lionel Messi and the Argentina national team advanced to the finals of the competition, the International Football Federation would crank out around 350,000 euro for Barcelona. The time spent in preparations is also calculated. The maximum is 48 days per player, so around 350,000 euro is the highest number each club could earn.
For the 21st edition of the World Cup, Croatia national team coach Zlatko Dalić included goalkeeper Dominik Livaković (Dinamo) and midfielder Filip Bradarić (Rijeka), the only two players in the lineup currently playing for Croatian clubs. If the Croatian national team succeeds to the round of 16, Dinamo and Rijeka will each earn a minimum of about 230,000 euro.
Barcelona and Real Madrid, Manchester United and Manchester City, Chelsea and Tottenham, Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain, and Juventus will have more than ten players on the stage in Russia, giving Europe’s largest clubs even more reason to feel greedy.
The international football organization will allocate 178 million euro to clubs around the world, which is more than the previous championships. The 2014 World Cup in Brazil saw a club pot of only 59 million euro, and in South Africa in 2010, it was only 34 million euro.
