Two Osijek Supporters Stabbed in Glasgow Ahead of Match Against Rangers

ZAGREB, August 3, 2018 - Two supporters of the Osijek football club from Croatia have been stabbed when violence broke out on the streets of Glasgow on Thursday night ahead of Rangers' Europa League qualifying tie against Osijek, according to a news portal Glas Slavonije.

The two men, aged 24 and 40, were taken by ambulance to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. Their conditions were described as stable.

The incident took place close to Ibrox stadium, where the two sides were playing the second leg of their Europa League second round qualifying fixture.

Footage on social media appeared to show fights between fans of the two clubs ahead of the second qualifying round, second-leg tie which finished 1-1 on the night, with Rangers going through 2-1 on aggregate.
