The most-watched television station in Croatia will exclusively transmit all Croatian football team games over the next four years.
For the next four years, viewers will be able to follow the Croatia national football team exclusively on Nova TV, the most watched television program in Croatia, reports Gol.hr on August 21, 2018.
"We are extremely pleased to be able to announce this about the Croatia national football team, as their games are the most watched in Croatia," said Nova TV Director Dražen Mavrić.
Over the next four years, football fans can expect an exceptionally full program, from the European Championship 2020 qualifiers and the tournament itself, through the qualifications for the 2022 World Cup, to the newest competition - Nations League.
"I'm sure the content, that is, the matches of the Croatia national team on Nova TV, with the realization and production of a sports newsroom, will bring a lot of excitement and satisfaction to our viewers," added Dražen Mavrić.
The new content will attract even more visitors to the digital TV channel and achieve record numbers. Last month, the portal Dnevnik.hr saw more than 1.7 million visits, which is a new record.
"What I can say is that in the next four years, we will certainly raise the standards for following the national team and that innovations can be expected in the form of digital processing, virtual reality, and such things,” concluded Nova TV Director Dražen Mavrić.
Nova TV will also transfer the friendly games playing under the authority of UEFA, such as on September 6 when Croatia plays against Portugal at Algarve stadium. Three days later, Croatia will play Spain in Elche for the first match of the new Nations League.
HRT - Croatian Radiotelevision - has thus lost the rights to broadcast the Croatia national team matches for the next four years, though they have announced that they redeemed the rights to transfer the 2022 World Cup.
