In 2006, Davis also led the Tigers to their first their first Final Four appearance since 1986. After University, Davis was selected by the Seattle SuperSonics as the 35th overall pick in the 2007 NBA draft.

Davis was then traded to the Boston Celtics, where he played from 2007-2011 and won the NBA Finals in 2008 against the Los Angeles Lakers. Davis won the NBA championship alongside Paul Pierce, Ray Allen, and Kevin Garnett.

From 2011-2014, Davis played for the Orlando Magic, followed by a year at the Los Angeles Clippers from 2014-2015. Davis played his last official game in the 2014/15 season with the Los Angeles Clippers, where he averaged four points with two rebounds per game.
