Croatia’s best tennis player Marin Čilić has advanced to the third round of the ATP Masters 1000 tournament in Paris after defeating German tennis player Philipp Kohlschreiber on Tuesday afternoon.
In the ATP World Tour Masters 1000 tournament, the Paris Masters, which is held from October 27 to November 4, 2018, Marin Čilić has convincingly advanced to the third round. Čilić defeated his opponent Philipp Kohlschreiber on Tuesday 6-3, 6-4 in an hour and 12 minutes of play, reports T.portal on October 31, 2018.

In the first set, Čilić had no issues with his service, and a break in the lead at 3-2 was enough to give him the advantage and the first set.
The Croatian tennis player started even better in the second set, achieved two breaks and took the lead at 4-0 - but then Čilić started to play with hesitation. Kohlschreiber was able to return one lost service, though he was unable to do much more than that. Čilić’s overall performance showed that he deserved to go to the third round of the Paris Masters.

This was the 12th match between Čilić and Kohlschreiber, though the German player still leads 7-5 in wins.
