Dinamo Zagreb Back in European Action Tonight

By 28 July 2015

European football returns to Zagreb tonight.

Dinamo plays against Molde from Norway on Tuesday, in the third qualifying round of UEFA Champions League. The atmosphere in the team is slightly better after a victory against Inter in the Croatian championships two days ago.

One year after Dinamo lost in the third qualifying round against Aalborg from Denmark, the Croatian champions will try to win before the return match in Norway.

The unconvincing start of the European season against Fole Esch (1:1) was a result of an earthquake which shook Dinamo after its executive president Zdravko Mamić and his brother, manager Zoran Mamić, were arrested few days earlier. However, Dinamo easily won in the return match.

The Mamić brothers have since returned to the club, and things are starting to calm down. The players are again concentrated on football, and against Molde they are certain they are going to win.

"In sport, you can never promise a victory, but we can promise that we will do absolutely everything to achieve the best result possible", says Soudani.

"This is only the first match. We still have a return match in Norway, but of course we want to achieve great result on our home turf in Maksimir", says Marko Pjaca.

Marko Rog, who recently came to Dinamo from Split, added: "We are getting better, we have two wins in a row, and I am certain that on Tuesday we will be even better and that we will go to Norway with an advantage."
