Croatian cycling Queen Shines at La Course by Le Tour de France.
The rolling hills of Medjimurje and the perfect roads are natural breeding grounds for cycling champions. For generations the roads are calling the Radotic family. Mia is the youngest sibling and was until quite recently only watching her grandfather, father and elder brother cycle and take the medals, trophies and podiums.
But Sunday 26th of July will be the day when Mia entered history. Mia Radotic cycled the roads of Paris, circled the Champs Elysees and became the Queen of sprints at the historic woman event La Course by Le Tour de France.
As the Croatian road champion, Mia wore proudly the colours of her hometown and her team BTC City Ljubljana, battled the elements and won the sprints of this one stage race.
“Totally wild race. Ever since I found out about the Wild card my team won I’ve been dreaming about the Champs Elysees. This stage is the last stage of Tour De France for decades. Just seeing the stage reminds me of my childhood and watching the Tour with my father as a commentator and mentor” said Mia for www.biker.hr “I can’t say how big of a deal is for me, my club and my family, to stand on the podium. I did my job!”

Mia therefore became the first Croatian female to compete at an event of such caliber, but her goal of competing at the Rio Olympic Games is still burning hot.
We hope that many cyclists will join Mia and other professional, amateur and recreational cyclists in Medjimurje county and discover this Croatian, Panonian and European gem. It’s the place where the champions are born after all.
