Thompson thus ties the record that has been held by the Denver Nuggets Ty Lawson since 2011.
The Cleveland Cavaliers lost at home to the Chicago Bulls 104:88, though Ante Žižić played a solid game in his Cavs defeats.
Zach LaVine led his Chicago Bulls in the win with 25 points. Collin Sexton was the best for Cleveland, scoring 18 points, while 22-year-old Split native Ante Žižić played 29 minutes and scored 13 points (shots in play 4/7), nine rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block.
23-year-old Dubrovnik native Mario Hezonja also had a modest impact for the New York Knicks on Monday night, though they lost to Oklahoma City Thunder 127:109 at Madison Square Garden.
Paul George led the winning team with 31 points, although he spent the whole last quarter on the bench. Russell Westbrook almost reached another triple-double with 17 points, ten rebounds and nine assists.
Mario Hezonja scored five points during his 11 minutes on the court (shots in play 2/5 shot) with two rebounds.
