The countdown is over, dear readers: Advent is upon us! Zagreb is wrapped in thousands of lights, the air smells like cinnamon and mulled wine, radio stations unleashed their festive playlists, and we're all ready for the best, biggest Christmas market so far!

The first detailed analysis of consumption during Advent confirms that the project was successful and beneficial not only for the promotion of Zagreb, but also as a catalyst for spending.

Since Thursday is essentially the start to a weekend, and Advent in Split is full with things to do, here are the concert happenings and events taking over the holiday season in Split from tonight, 15 December to Sunday 18 December.

The air carrier Czech Airlines will continue their flights in the winter to Zagreb, allowing tourists from the Czech Republic a quick and easy way to arrive at Advent in Zagreb.

Advent in Zagreb, who was last year voted the best European destination for Advent, begins on Saturday, 26 November and will run through 8 January, 2017. A new “Fashion Advent” will take place from 10-31 December.
