On Tuesday 5^th December 2017, Gastro Get (Mazzgoon, Uje, O'Zlata, Galerija, Rodrigo) held a press conference in Mazzgoon restaurant to announce the upcoming event which, for the first time, has support from the Tourist Board and City of Split.

Local journalists, Split restaurants, and representatives of the city joined forces to officially light the first Advent candle for Gastroadvent.

We're halfway through November, meaning we're even closer to the longest Split Advent yet!

The Advent program in Split changes its concept this year with a few changes that could make a big difference.

As we mentioned last week, the Tourist Board of Split announced the numbers for 2016. In 2016 total, Split recorded 574,917 arrivals and 1,763,080 overnight stays, which is an increase in arrivals by 27%, and an increase in overnight stays by 31%. Most of the tourists to Split were from the UK, Germany, USA, France and Australia.  In December alone there were 11,020 arrivals and 23,496 overnight stays, which is a 19% increase in arrivals compared to 2015.
