ZAGREB, February 1, 2018 - The head of the Croatian Farmers' Association, Tihomir Jaić, on Thursday called on the government-appointed emergency administrator in the ailing Agrokor food conglomerate, Ante Ramljak, to step down and urged Prime Minister Andrej Plenković to dismiss Ramljak if he did not resign of his own accord.
ZAGREB, February 1, 2018 - Following media reports on the engagement of consultants for the emergency administration of the Agrokor food and retail group, the Temporary Creditors' Council discussed the matter on Wednesday and said they were focused on recovering as many of their claims as possible.
More discomfort for Ramljak as shareholders pile on the pressure.
ZAGREB, January 31, 2018 - In response to media claims about lucrative contracts of firms hired for consultancy work in the restructuring of the debt-laden Agrokor Group, the emergency administration in this private retail and food conglomerate stated on Tuesday evening that the consultancy fees amounted to below 1% of the group's entire debt and they were considerably lower than comparative figures elsewhere in the world.
Can Agrokor's extraordinary administration team finally move forward?
The former Agrokor boss' hearing has been postponed due to procedures.
According to Agrokor's ex boss, Lex Agrokor was written by the company's government appointed extraordinary commissioner, and yet... it doesn't apply to him.
It seems to be the question of the hour, the day, the week, the month and the year for Agrokor's former boss.
The total sum of the foreseen principal claims for the time being (before the end of litigation period) amounts to a huge 31 billion kuna.
One case that Agrokor could be compared to would be the infamous Parmalat case that shook Italy - and the similarities are uncanny.
