ZAGREB, April 20, 2018 - The GLAS party on Friday informed that it had sent a motion into parliamentary procedure proposing the launching of negotiation procedures to amend the treaties between the Holy See and Croatia with the aim of protecting secular values which, this opposition party underscores, is a constitutional category.
ZAGREB, January 20, 2018 - Leaders of the Civil-Liberal Alliance (GLAS) party on Saturday said that GLAS lawmakers would move motions for amending the labour legislation to make it more flexible and for reviewing Croatia's agreements with the Holy See in order to change models for financing religious communities.
Milan Bandić and Anka Mrak Taritaš are expected to go to the second round.
Anka Mrak-Taritaš will be a joint SDP-HNS candidate for Zagreb mayor in upcoming local elections.
In the second round, Mrak Taritaš has a small advantage over Bandić.
The largest opposition party might not have its own candidate for mayor.
The largest opposition party could support Anka Mrak Taritaš, the candidate of HNS, its junior coalition partner.
According to the poll for next year’s local elections, potential candidates of HDZ and SDP do not have much chance to win.
Even though the outcome of elections is far from certain, HNS is already discussing who its ministers would be.
