ZAGREB, 13 March 2022 - Croatia has recorded 956 new coronavirus cases and 15 COVID-related deaths in the last 24 hours, the national coronavirus response team reported on Sunday.

The number of active cases currently stands at 9,830. Among them are 764 infected people who have been hospitalised with 49 of them are on ventilators. 7,198 people are self-isolating.

A total of 4,583,892 people have been tested for the SARS-CoV-2 virus to date, including 4,356 in the last 24 hours.

Since 25 February 2020, when the first case was confirmed in Croatia, 1,073,386 people have been registered as having been infected with the novel virus, of whom 15,336 have died and 1,048,220 have recovered, including 1,226 in the last 24 hours.

By Saturday, 5,209,274 COVID vaccine doses have been administered, with 56.89% of the total population, or 67.66% of adults, having been vaccinated.

A total of 2,308,528 people have received at least one dose and 2,234,390 of them have been fully vaccinated, or 65.61% of the adult population.

ZAGREB, 11 March (2022) - Croatia has registered 1,538 new cases of coronavirus, out of 5,787 tests, in the past 24 hours and 14 people have died as a consequence while there are 10,015 active cases and 6,857 people are self-isolating, the national COVID response team reported on Friday.

Currently, 819 patients are in hospital treatment, 65 of whom are on ventilators. 

To date, 65.60% of the adult population has been fully vaccinated.

ZAGREB, 10 March 2022 - Croatia has registered 1,728 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours and 18 people have died as a consequence while there are 10,255 active cases, the national COVID response team reported on Thursday.

Currently, 821 COVID patients are in hospital treatment 57 of whom are on respirators.

Also, 6,302 persons are self-isolating.

Under the vaccine rollout scheme, 65.59% of the adult population is fully vaccinated.

ZAGREB, 9 March 2022 - Croatia has registered 2,588 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours and 26 people have died as a consequence, while there are 9,716 active cases in the country, the national COVID response team reported on Wednesday.

Of that number, 853 patients are in hospital treatment, 59 are on respirators and 5,363 people are self-isolating.

Under the vaccine roll out scheme, 65.57% of the adult population has been fully vaccinated.

7 March 2022 - In the last 24 hours 157 coronavirus cases, out of 1,357 tests, and 20 related deaths have been registered in Croatia, the national COVID-19 crisis management team said on Monday.

There are 8,200 active cases, including 967 hospitalised patients, of whom 69 on ventilators, while 6,194 persons are self-isolating.

Croatia has registered 1,063,985 coronavirus cases to date and the death toll is 15,234.

To date, 56.86% of the population or 67.64% of adults have been vaccinated, including 65.56% fully.

ZAGREB, 6 March 2022 - In the last 24 hours 875 coronavirus cases, out of 3,866 tests, and 20 related deaths have been registered in Croatia, the national COVID-19 crisis management team said on Sunday.

There are currently 9,572 active cases, including 966 hospitalised patients, of whom 74 on ventilators, while 7,034 persons are self-isolating.

Croatia has registered 1,063,828 coronavirus cases to date, while the death toll stands at 15,214.

ZAGREB, 4 March (2022) - In the last 24 hours 1,351 coronavirus cases, out of 5,124 tests, and 27 related deaths have been registered in Croatia, the national COVID-19 crisis management team said on Friday.

There are 10,879 active cases, including 1,053 hospitalised patients, of whom 14 on ventilators, while 7,459 persons are self-isolating.

Croatia has registered 1,061,429 coronavirus cases to date and the death toll stands at 15,172.

To date, 56.86% of the total population or 67.63% of adults have been vaccinated, including 65.54% of adults fully.

ZAGREB, 3 March 2022 - In the last 24 hours, there have been 1,625 new cases of the infection with coronavirus in Croatia, and the disease has claimed another 23 lives, bringing the COVID-related death toll to 15,145, the country's COVID-19 crisis management team reported on Thursday.

There are currently 12,041 active cases, including 1,130 hospitalized patients of whom 81 are placed on ventilators.

Since the start of the pandemic in Croatia two years ago, over 1.06 million cases of the infection have been registered, and the healthcare authorities have reported 1,032,892 recoveries, including 1,800 recoveries in the last 24 hours.

Nearly two-thirds of adults (65.53%) have fully been vaccinated so far.

ZAGREB, 2 March 2022 - In the last 24 hours 2,510 coronavirus cases, out of 7,618 tests, and 21 related deaths have been registered in Croatia, the national COVID-19 crisis management team said on Wednesday.

There are currently 12,239 active cases, including 1,183 hospitalised patients, of whom 92 on ventilators, while 7,342 persons are self-isolating.

Croatia has registered 1,058,453 coronavirus cases to date, and the death toll stands at 15,122.

Also, 56.85% of the population has been vaccinated, or 67.72% of adults, of whom 65.51% are fully vaccinated.

28 February 2022 - Deputy Prime Minister Davor Božinović said on Monday that the national COVID-19 response team had adopted six new decisions relaxing restrictions on indoor and outdoor gatherings and abolishing mandatory testing and presentation of COVID certificates when entering public administration offices.

The measures relating to public transport, stores, wearing masks and crossing the border will remain in force until 31 March, Božinović told reporters after a cabinet meeting.

The measure restricting gatherings has been relaxed and as of 1 March, up to 100 people will be able to gather outdoors instead of the current 50, while the number of people allowed to gather indoors will be limited to 50 instead of 25 as is now the case.

Restrictions on indoor and outdoor gatherings have also been amended regarding the requirement to present a COVID certificate. As of Tuesday, it will no longer be necessary to obtain permission from the local COVID response team to organise such gatherings, said Božinović.

There will also no longer be any restrictions on the number of spectators at outdoor sports events and indoor events can have up to 50% occupancy instead of the current 20%.

As of Tuesday it will no longer be necessary to present COVID certificates or proof of testing or recovery from COVID to enter public administration buildings given the level of immunity in the population and the relatively brief period clients spent in those premises, Božinović said.

He added that COVID certificates were still required in welfare and health institutions, whereas they will no longer be required to enter post offices.
