ZAGREB, February 17, 2018 - Croatian agricultural producer prices increased by 9.7% in the last quarter of 2017 compared with the same period of 2016, data from the Central Bureau of Statistics (DZS) show.
ZAGREB, February 15, 2018 - Prime Minister Andrej Plenković said at a government session on Thursday that the Agriculture Ministry and the Paying Agency for Agriculture, Fisheries and Rural Development would start paying, as of next week, an additional one billion kuna to 100,000 farms, as an efficient way of managing farm grants with which he expected farmers to be satisfied.

ZAGREB, January 24, 2018 - The government sent the Law on Family Farms to parliament for a second reading on Wednesday, and Agriculture Minister Tomislav Tolušić said that family farms would finally have a law specifically designed for them, like companies, small businesses or cooperatives, and would be protected against enforcement action.

The value of imported meat in the first ten months of 2017 was higher by almost 40 million euro compared to last year.
